5 Essential Beauty Products

I am not the type of person that wears makeup every-day, but when I do i find it super hard to go without multiple or even all of these products at any given time. Whether it be for no-makeup-makeup or full face of glam these 10 products will have a permanent place at the top of my makeup bag.

1. A good concealer!

The first thing that is a must have is a good concealer! You may see beauty gurus and you-tubers using a concealer in a lighter shade to highlight and achieve glam looks. However, if this is not your style you should still find a concealer in your natural shade to conceal any spots, redness, under-eye dark circles, create cut creases, carve out eye-brows, and correct lipstick errors and mess-ups.

One of the most popular, full coverage concealers on the market is Tarte shape-tape, but if you prefer a cheaper, drugstore alternative Maybelline Fit-Me concealer has great coverage and quite long-wear. I have yet to try tarte for myself other than in ulta, but my fit-me concealer covers and blends like a dream.

                                                        

     

2. Carmex

I literally could not live without this gem. I use it everyday multiple times a day for many things. It's the best lip balm for chapped lips, you can put it on your cuticles for moisture, as a lip topper for dry or cracked matte lipstick, and to refurbish leftover lipstick left on your lips.

If I have worn down lipstick from eating or drinking carmex is the first thing i go to to turn it into more of a glossy, balm and evenly disperse the remainder of the color on my lips to make it look like new. I also pat a little onto my drying lipsticks to make them more comfortable and moisturizing to wear.

3.  NUDES

A good selection of nude/mauve lipsticks should always be on hand. You can pop on a nude lip with no makeup, a full face of glam, or anything in between. Having good and flattering matte, satin, and glossy nude lipsticks can really amp up your beauty game even on days you are rushing to get out the door.

I like to pair multiple nude lipsticks focusing the lighter color on the center to give more of a pout look. Maybelline has a great line of matte and satin and glossy nudes, and for a higher end quality of lip color, YSL has beautiful nude shades in all different finishes.

  

4. A blinding, glowing highlight

There are somedays I feel like I look a little tired, and a good highlight (even with no other makeup) can instantly change that. I use a variety of highlighters because having a good glow is one of the most important things in my opinion to achieving a healthy, radiant look. This can be subtly placed for a very natural finish or built up for high-shine, high-glow days. Fenty beauty has amazing duo highlighters that contain one subtle glowy highlight and one glittery highlight to satisfy both types of finishes in any given moment. Another highlight I always keep near me is the Benefit high-beam, it is absolutely beautiful on bare skin or dewy finishes and can be built up as much or as little as one desires.

I put highlighter on the tops of my cheek bones, tip of nose, cupids-bow, collar bones, and shoulders. Highlight can be placed anywhere you want the focus to draw too, or anywhere you want to visually bring forward, like the tops of the shins or chest.

5. A good blending/crease brush

It is really hard to achieve a well-blended eyeshadow look with brushes that are poor quality and don't evenly disperse pigment. This took me a while to discover was something so important. I always thought high quality pigments were the deal-breaker, but it is definitely the brushes you use that could be making or breaking your eye-looks. I love my Morphe blending brushes. They are great quality and are crazy inexpensive compared to other high-end brushes.
